Sorry, I know that we’ve not performed well ourselves in keeping the blog up to date. My only excuse is that we’ve been working on an exciting new development programme, to deal with the changing performance landscape, which will be released shortly.
For all of the public services in the UK there is a drought on the way, in terms of financial resource, irrespective of which government is in power.
We have been fortunate enough to get permission from Stephen Berry, the author of Strategies of the Serengeti, to use the analogy of how the performance and strategy of the animals of the Serengeti can show us some valuable lessons. But I don’t want this blog to become our marketing platform so, apart from telling you when it is launched, I’m not going to keep referring to the programme – just some of the performance issues that have led to it.
